On 19 May 2026 the BRITACOM Secretariat successfully convened the 2026 First Launch Event of BRITACOM TAPP and TSPP Products via virtual platform. Under the theme Laying a Solid Foundation for Tax Administration and Service, the event officially released four new practical products, including two under the Tax Administration Product Portfolio (TAPP) and two under the Taxpayer Service Product Portfolio (TSPP). Representatives from BRITACOM Member Tax Administrations, Observers, the Advisory Board, and the TAPP/TSPP Working Groups participated in the event, sharing practical experience and promoting tax governance cooperation.
The event formally launched four new products tailored to the needs of tax administration and taxpayer services:
TAPP Product No. 2 – Secure and Unified Identity Verification: This product aims to build a national unified tax identity center, enabling cross-level, cross-regional, cross-system and cross-subject identity mutual recognition, with cases drawn from the UAE, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Mongolia and China.
TAPP Product No. 5 – Strengthening Declaration Management and Improving Declaration Quality: The product focuses on whole-cycle governance covering pre-declaration, in-declaration and post-declaration stages, supported by digital and intelligent tools to enhance accuracy, timeliness and completeness of tax declarations, with cases from Saudi Arabia, Greece, Thailand and China.
TSPP Product No. 1 – The Cornerstone of Building a Harmonious Tax Environment: Taxpayer Service Philosophy and Safeguards: This product elaborates on taxpayer-centric service concepts and multi-dimensional safeguards including legal, organizational, institutional, personnel and financial support, drawing on practices from China, Ethiopia, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia and the UAE.
TSPP Product No. 6 – Institutional Guarantees for Taxpayers’ Rights and Interests: The product establishes an institutionalized, standardized and actionable rights-protection system covering legislation, law enforcement, service, relief, supervision and international coordination, with cases from the Republic of Korea, UAE, China, Mongolia and Ethiopia.
During the experience sharing session, representatives from Hungary, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea and Saudi Arabia delivered in-depth speeches.
Dr. István Szalóki, Expert from the Tax Relations Department of Hungary’s National Tax and Customs Administration, shared Hungary’s secure identity verification system, including the Central Authentication Agent System, Client Gate+ and Digital Citizenship Application, realizing EU-wide identity mutual recognition under the eIDAS framework.
Ms. Inge Diana Rismawanti, PhD, Director of Tax Dissemination, Services and Public Relations at Indonesia’s Directorate General of Taxes, introduced the Coretax system integrating registration, declaration, payment and services, linking national ID with tax identification, and adopting the Click–Call–Counter omni-channel service model and Taxpayers’ Charter.
Mr. Seong Ung KIM, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Division of the Republic of Korea’s National Tax Service, presented AI-powered tax services such as mobile one-touch filing and 24/7 AI chatbots, and elaborated on the Taxpayers’ Rights Charter covering compliance presumption, appeal right and information confidentiality.
Mr. Saleh Alsahaibani, Director of Customer Experience and Service Improvement at Saudi Arabia’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, shared practices in unified identity authentication and digital invoice management, promoting end-to-end digital tax services and risk-based precise governance.
Ms. Chen Wenting from STA China introduced China’s digital invoice reform to empower declaration quality management with intelligent pre-filling and real-time verification. Mr. Ma Jing from STA China shared China’s taxpayer service system and institutional guarantees for taxpayers’ rights and interests with clear rights and obligations.
Eight more products will be released in June and July, and the 7th BRITACOF will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia on 13-15 October 2026 to release TAPP and TSPP Version 2.0.
The event concluded with a call for continued participation from all BRITACOM parties in sharing cases, contributing experience and providing feedback to enrich the product portfolios, jointly enhance tax administration capacity and improve the tax business environment across BRI jurisdictions.
