BRITA • Beijing Successfully Holds Seminar on Optimizing Business Environment and Improving Taxpayer Service

A seminar on Optimizing Business Environment and Improving Taxpayer Service was successfully held by the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Academy • Beijing (BRITA • Beijing). The seminar, conducted in a hybrid format, gathered over 20 tax and fiscal officials from eight Belt and Road jurisdictions including Georgia, Hungary, Macao China, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Thailand, Uzbekistan. With most of the lectures in Chinese and English, multiple language support, including French and Russian, was arranged to cater to the diverse linguistic needs of the participants.
 
Centering on the theme of “Optimizing Business Environment and Improving Taxpayer Service”, the seminar combined multiple forms of learning and exchange to deliver in-depth and practical content. Thematic lectures that systematically covered key topics such as Evolution of World Bank’s Business Ready and China’s Tax Business Environment Reform Practices, China’s Tax Credit System, China’s Tax Collection and Payment Interaction Service, Building a Future-Oriented Intelligent Taxpayer Service Ecosystem for Growth and Global Tax Compliance Experience from the Point View of Enterprise received great feedback. These lectures helped participants gain a comprehensive understanding of China’s experience in optimizing the tax business environment and improving taxpayer services, as well as insights into strategies for addressing challenges in related fields.
 
Beyond theoretical learning, the seminar also facilitated interactive discussions where participants actively shared the tax systems and taxpayer service practices of their respective jurisdictions, promoting mutual learning and in-depth cross-jurisdictional tax exchanges. In addition, BRITA • Beijing organized field visits to practical venues: the Smart Taxpayer Service Hall in Beijing, allowing participants to witness the application of intelligent technologies in taxpayer services firsthand; and Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., providing a platform to understand corporate practices related to tax compliance and digital development in the business sector.
 
 
As a key pillar of the BRITACOM, the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Capacity Enhancement Group (BRITACEG) has been committed to boosting tax administration capacities across BRI jurisdictions through capacity building and knowledge-sharing initiatives, and will continue to join hands with the six BRITAs in Beijing, Yangzhou, Macao China, Astana Kazakhstan, Riyadh Saudi Arabia, Algiers Algeria to launch more targeted training programs and exchange activities, further expanding the scope of knowledge sharing and capacity building to support the high-quality development of tax cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
