The China-OECD LLM Programme on Taxation (COTP) is now accepting applications for the 2026 academic year. This two-year, English-taught Master's programme is jointly organised by Xiamen University (XMU), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the State Taxation Administration (STA) of China, and the Ministry of Finance of China. It aims to equip tax officials and professionals from developing countries with advanced knowledge and skills in international taxation, including treaty law, transfer pricing, anti-BEPS measures, and digital economy taxation.
Since its launch in 2022, the China-OECD LLM Programme on Taxation has enrolled 45 international students from 12 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. In 2026, the programme plans to admit 20 international students, contributing to the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
Scholarship: All admitted students will be fully funded through the MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Programme, covering tuition, living expenses, accommodation, airfare, and other costs.
Eligibility: Applicants must be tax officials or professionals from developing countries, with a strong academic background and proficiency in English.
Application Process:
- Obtain endorsement from the relevant authorities in your home country
- Submit required documents to the Economic and Commercial Counselor's Office (ECCO) of the Chinese Embassy in your country
- Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by Xiamen University
