

Macao
The most prominent feature of the Academy lies in its significant role as a link. Since its establishment, BRITA • Macao has been dedicated to providing high-quality tax training for fiscal and taxation officials from 9 Portuguese-speaking countries (regions) and has organized 14 tax-themed training sessions, attracting 449 participants from Portuguese-speaking countries (regions).
In June 2023, it organized its first cross-border exchange program of taxation, and 13 tax officials from Brazil, Portugal, Angola, and other countries (regions) participated in the Cooperation and Exchange Conference on Taxation in Support of the Promotion of the BRI held by Hengqin Guangdong-Macao in-Depth Cooperation Zone Tax Service. The tax officials deeply experienced the achievements of China’s smart taxation and visited the science and technology industrial park and high-tech enterprises. In May 2024, BRITA • Macao held a seminar on“ Tax Dispute Resolution”. The BRITACOM delegation had in-depth exchanges with 18 participants from 9 Portuguese-speaking countries (regions) and shared information on the development of the BRITACOM and the training program of the BRITACEG.
In September 2024, Guangdong Provincial Tax Service, State Taxation Administration (STA) and Financial Service Bureau, Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region jointly signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Guangdong Provincial Tax Service of the STA and the Financial Services Bureau of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region on the Establishment of the BRITA•Macao (Hengqin Campus). BRITA•Macao (Hengqin Campus) was officially established at the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin Tax Service, STA. Representatives attending the signing ceremony included Iong Kong Leong, the President of the BRITACEG and Director of BRITA•Macao, as well as the Director of the Financial Service Bureau of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region; Meng Yuying, Director of the International Taxation Department of the STA; Wang Xuedong, Director of the Guangdong Provincial Tax Service of the STA; and Su Kung, Deputy Director of the Executive Committee of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. 14 fiscal and taxation officials from seven Portuguese-speaking countries, including Brazil, Angola, and Cape Verde, also participated in the event.
