The most prominent feature of the Academy lies in strong professionalism. Since its establishment in 2019, BRITA • Astana has successfully held multiple online and offline training and seminar activities, covering topics such as“ Transfer Pricing: Action Plan”,“ Information Exchange and Cross-departmental Cooperation to Combat Tax Offenses”, “Implementation and Discussion of the BEPS Action Plan” and more. It has also actively coordinated with international tax experts through the BRITACEG to host specialized lectures on topics like“ Management and Application of Big Data in Tax Collection and Administration” and about 1,000 fiscal and tax officials have participated in the training and gained valuable experience and emerging knowledge in the field of tax administration.
In July and September, 2024, BRITA·Astana held two offline seminars on the themes of“ Tax Incentive, Minimum Global Tax and Recent Changes in International Taxation" and "Transfer Pricing”. Almost 100 tax officials from Kazakhstan and other state bodies participated in the training sessions. Recently BRITA • Astana started to participate in IOTA seminars and by doing this, provides opportunity for local tax officials to participate in international level seminars and develop their knowledge and skills. In 2024 BRITA• Astana plans to participate in 5 more webinars and train more than 200 local tax officials and other state bodies employers.
BRITA • Astana has maintained close collaboration with international organizations like Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Asian Development Bank, engaging in a wide range of training programs including tax appointment training, professional development, and skill enhancement. BRITA • Astana is committed to ongoing innovation, enhancing its training offerings through diverse methods such as interactive online platform instruction and immersive VR experiences.
