The Launch Ceremony of the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Journal (BRI Tax Journal) was held in Beijing, China on 12 June 2020. Entrusted by Mr. WANG Jun, Chair of the BRITACʘM Council and Commissioner of the State Taxation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (STA), Mr. SUN Ruibiao, Deputy Commissioner of the STA attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

In his speech, Mr. SUN Ruibiao pointed that the launch of the BRI Tax Journal will provide an important platform for communication and cooperation among tax administrations of the BRI jurisdictions and beyond, through which BRITACʘM Member Tax Administrations, Observers and other stakeholders can share insights for the formulation and development of effective tax policies and tax systems, and exchange innovative practices and invaluable experiences. He also put forward some expectations for the journal. Firstly, focusing on the theme of tax cooperation and the sharing of best practices and knowledge achievements among tax administrations; secondly, deepening the vision of a community of shared future for mankind with the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Editorial Advisory Board of the BRI Tax Journal is composed of 31 tax experts from more than 10 countries around the world. Mr. ZHANG Zhiyong, Chair of the Editorial Advisory Board and Chairman of China International Tax Research Institute, stressed that the Editorial Advisory Board will conscientiously perform its duties and responsibilities to lead the direction, improve the quality, and expand the global influence of the BRI Tax Journal.

In the ceremony, the Letters and Videos of Congratulations on the launch of the BRI Tax Journal from Members of the Editorial Advisory Board were displayed.
